Heel Guards in 100% Carbon Fiber for Triumph Street Triple 765 RS 2017+

My review is for the Motocomposites 100% Carbon parts fitment on my 2018 Triumph Street Triple RS. I purchased the Front Fender, Rear Hugger and Heel Guards; this review is on the Heel Guards.
I ordered the 100% Carbon Heel Guards in the glossy/twill weave finish. I was impressed on how light the part is compared to the OEM steel heel guards. The Carbon Heel Guards are also quite thick and rigid, sturdy enough for the intended job. The overall look/quality of the top surface finish looked very good with no visible defects on the gloss coat or carbon weave. But the triangular cut out could have been straighter and smoother. This part matches nicely to the Carbon Front Fender and Rear Hugger; the trio of glossy twill weave parts looks real deep and rich; these parts looks great on the bike!
The fitment of the new Heel Guards was a simple bolt-on installation. The two pre-drilled holes were accurate and did not need any modification, couldn't be easier.
My reservations: I hope the finish is durable and the rigidity holds up on these Carbon Heel Guards, and will provide many years of service. I'm not sure if a Carbon Weave matrix is really the most prudent/pragmatic materiel for a high contact/high wear part like heel guards, I'm hoping this is not solely a vanity purchase but rather a solid performing, great looking part; only time will tell.

Ordered the heel guards in glossy twill, and couldn’t be happier! The quality is superb, and the fit was perfect! The glossy finish is durable and gorgeous, however the clear coat can cause some issue with the mounting screw holes being too small. That was very easily remedied with some light seemed work. I’ve also ordered the rear hugger/chain guard and radiator covers in matte twill, which are just as amazing! Their matte finish is fantastic, and does not need any fitting to get the the mounting bolts to fit. Definitely planning on ordering more parts in the near future!

All I can say really is WOW! For the price, I could not be happier, and that does not mean that my standards decreased just simply based on affordability. Oh no, these are premium looking OEM fit and finish pure carbon fiber composite parts. I believe in moto-composites and their products. While it does take some time to get their parts if they do not have it on hand, I will wait for quality, and these parts are it. I will gladly vouch, send pictures, WHATEVER! Overwhelmingly good and just plain cool parts. Will buy again, for any bike I own. By the way they were for an 18 StreetTriple RS, in matte silver, so I ordered the matte carbon. Looks amazing, also very subtle but noticeable upon closer inspection with great weave.
